Some of the links on GirlfriendsAI are affiliate links. If you click one and end up paying for the app, the app pays us a small commission - at no extra cost to you. That's how we keep the lights on. This page lays out exactly how it works, what it doesn't change, and what you should look for if you ever doubt it.
Which links pay us
Every link on this site that goes through girlfriendsai.net/go/<app>/ is an affiliate link. They redirect to the app's official sign-up page with our partner ID attached. Affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored" in the HTML, which is the standard browsers and search engines use to recognize commercial relationships.
As of June 2026, we earn a commission when readers sign up via our links for:

We do not earn a commission from:
- Anima · Linky · EVA AI · Kupid · Muah AI · iGirl / Lover · CrushOn · Mate · Blush · Girlfriend GPT · AI2U · Yandere AI Simulator
If you look at the rankings, you'll notice that several apps we do not earn from sit higher than several apps we do - Anima (4.6) and Linky (4.5) outrank Lovescape (4.1) and OurDream (4.1), both of which pay us. That's deliberate. Our 50-point rubric doesn't know which apps pay us, because the same scorer-pair runs it for every app and the scoring happens before anyone checks the affiliate spreadsheet.
What this doesn't change
- It doesn't change our scores. The score is whatever the rubric produces. Several apps that pay us got scores below 4.5; one (Lovescape) sits at 4.1.
- It doesn't change our rankings. Order is determined by score, period. Anima outranks Lovescape because Anima scored higher, not because anyone paid us to write that.
- It doesn't change which apps we cover. If an app is meaningfully used by anyone and we can get a copy, it goes on the test desk - whether it has an affiliate program or not.
- It doesn't change the price you pay. Affiliate commissions are paid by the app out of their marketing budget, not added to your bill. The price is the same whether you sign up via our link, type the URL directly, or find the app another way.
What you can do to verify
If you want to confirm any of this:
- Hover any "Try X" button on this site. The destination is always
girlfriendsai.net/go/<app>/, and that URL redirects to the app's official sign-up page. You can also strip the redirect and sign up directly from the app's own homepage if you'd rather skip our commission. - Compare our published scores against the prices we charge to commission. We don't publish commission amounts (they vary by app and are subject to contract), but the asymmetry - high-paying apps with mid-tier scores, zero-paying apps with high-tier scores - is in the rankings themselves.

FTC, in short
This page exists in part because U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance (16 CFR Part 255) requires bloggers, publishers and reviewers to clearly disclose material connections to the products they cover. Affiliate commissions count as a material connection. We disclose it once in a banner above every page, once in the footer of every page, once in this dedicated page, and once next to the first affiliate link on each review. That's belt and braces - the rule technically asks for one clear and conspicuous disclosure; we run four because the standard for "clear and conspicuous" varies by reader, and we'd rather over-tell than under-tell.
Affiliate commissions versus paid placements
Earlier versions of this site claimed "0 sponsored placements" as a trust signal. That phrasing was wrong - affiliate links are sponsored by the standard browsers and search engines use, and they pay us. We removed the phrase in June 2026 and replaced it with the wording on this page. Some links on this site pay us. None of them changed where the app finished in the rankings. Those are two different statements and we kept them separate for a reason.
Questions or complaints
If something on this site looks like a violation of the spirit of this disclosure - a score that doesn't match the rubric, a commission relationship that isn't listed, a comparison that reads as obviously biased - write us via the About page. The honest answer is sometimes "you're right and we'll fix it." Joi moved up two places in our June 2026 round because four readers pushed back on our coin-economy criticism in a row.
