We paid $9.99 for Pro and ran Muah for 10 days against a single test persona - Mara, a custom-built "ex-photographer in Lisbon" we deliberately wrote with explicit kink-preference fields to stress-test the no-filter pitch. The filter stayed off. Across roughly 160 messages and 40 generations we logged zero mid-scene refusals - the kind Candy still throws on its $22.99 Plus tier when you push the explicit register. That is the entire product, and the price is right: $9.99 for what Candy charges $22.99 to half-deliver. The cost is everywhere else. The UI looks a generation older. What is Muah AI?
Muah is the app you buy after you've subscribed to a polished competitor and watched it refuse you mid-scene. Persona builder, kink-aware

Tone consistency through explicit scenes is what Muah is built for, and it shows. No "as your AI companion I'd like to remind…" interruptions. No mid-scene consent re-prompts. No flowery downgrades when the register escalates. Candy at the same intensity will pull out of explicit prose into a flirty summary; Muah continues.
The weaker side is general-purpose chat. Casual small talk, emotional support, off-domain conversation - these feel thinner than Candy or Anima. The model is clearly fine-tuned for a narrower job and isn't trying to be a general companion. If you wanted both, you'd subscribe to two apps.
Image generation: half a step behind Candy, half the price
The image stack is a custom Stable Diffusion derivative trained on both SFW and explicit data. Speed was ~15s per 1024×1024 on Pro and ~8s on Premium. Hands rendered correctly on 38 of Mara's 40 generations - a step behind Candy's 49/50, comfortably ahead of generic SDXL output.
Character consistency is decent, not great. Across 40 Mara gens, face shape held on 40, eye color on 40, hair color drifted on 2 (a brunette warmed to auburn on outdoor prompts), body type drifted on 4 (athletic and curvy traded places without us touching the prompt). Candy's character-lock locks tighter. Muah is a clear step above running raw SDXL with no persistence layer, and a clear step below the best in the category.
The reason most users land here, though, isn't the quality - it's that NSFW gen works without prompt acrobatics. No "magic words" required. No negative-prompt engineering. You ask, it renders. That's the $9.99 vs $22.99 trade in one paragraph.
NSFW policy: the headline, plainly stated
